Guitar Hero – The Origins Of A Rockin’ Guitar Game

Guitar Hero was originally released on the PS2 on one glorious day in November of 2005. This unique controller was modeled after a real guitar called a Gibson SG. Originally developed by a video game company named Harmonix, it went on to receive numerous awards for its ingenuity and for the core of the game, its musical soundtrack.
Due to the success of the first game, a second was released for the Playstation 2 in 2006, this time with an astonishing 64 musical tracks. Additional features included were the ability to multi-play against friends and non-friends alike.
The third in the series, aptly named Guitar Hero 3, is released in October of 2007. Characters from the previous games to be featured in the new Guitar Hero 3 are Axel Steel, Casey Lynch, Johnny Napalm, Judy Nails, Izzy Sparks, , Lars Umlaut and Xavier Stone. unfortunately, Clive and Pandora were removed from the game.
The fourth installment of the Guitar Hero series was officially named Guitar Hero World Tour.
This new version of this instant classic has even more rocking capability of any of the other three video games combined.

Guitar Hero 5, the fifth main entry in the Guitar Hero series is expected to be released on September 1, 2009.
Similar to the preceding title, Guitar Hero World Tour, Guitar Hero 5 is geared towards playing in a band experience. Four players can play together, including guitar and bass, drums, and vocals. New features have been added to the game from World Tour.
It is obvious that Guitar Hero has just begun to make an impact on the kids that play and sounds like their parents as well. A terrific idea that has so far been perfectly executed. Look for the new release soon and expect that all the kids are going to want one. Guitar Hero game could be the trigger to generate interest from young children in music, particularly on learning the guitar!
