Before you buy your acoustic beginner guitar you need to set the budget that you can afford. Acoustic guitars range from the expensive to more affordable acoustic beginner guitars.

When it does come to buying your first acoustic guitar, avoid going for those that cost less than $100. Not only are these instruments often very poorly constructed but they are very difficult to play as well. The reason for this being that the strings and fingerboard on the instrument usually have a large amount of space between them.

Also, keep in mind that the way in which a guitar sounds and they way in which it plays will depend on the way it has been treated. The better a guitar has been cared for then the better it will sound. Plus when you try out any acoustic beginner guitar and it does not feel comfortable even though the sound and tone quality is great then it is best that you go for another one instead.

Acoustic Beginner Guitar – Which One?

If you can afford a high quality guitar it will pay off dividends in the long run. A guitar that would take anyone from novice status to advanced player is the Seagull S6 who make a very fine acoustic beginner guitar. If your budget is low, you may also want to consider getting either a Takamine G-240, Fender DG7 or Yamaha F310 which are slightly less in price.

Really.. cheap and low quality acoustic beginner guitars is actually far harder to play even if you are a seasoned professional player. If you really can’t spend more than $100 on an acoustic beginner guitar then the best option is to buy a second hand one.

Finally, when buying a used acoustic beginner guitar from the store get the sales person who is helping you to play it. Even if you cannot actually play the guitar yet you will soon be able to hear whether the sound quality on the guitar you are buying is good or not. Also, as these people do not realize they could be in fact helping someone with buying their acoustic beginner guitar who in the future may become a great guitar player.
